The first version of the sims is very basic. It allows you to create a family of up to eight people. Buy or build a simulated house, find them a simulated occupation, manage their simoleans (money), make friends with other residents and much more.
Although the objects are quite limited, the game is fun and offers hours of simulation fun and games for the whole family.
This is the first expansion pack which adds new objects, expands the possibilities by including extra neighbourhoods and offers a wider range of jobs and personal interactions between your sims.

The final expansion pack (Due to the release of 'The Sims 2) for the sims which takes a very Harry Potter approach to the game. Your sims can now cast spells to do the chores and improve their love life. All of the spells and potions that are used have a bad side effect but I suppose that is what you get for meddling in the black arts! Well worth the simoleans!

Design your sims the way you've always wanted with the body shop. Make the perfect girl of your dreams, yourself, your friends and even your enemies. Add makeup, lipstick, beards, glasses, hats and other face features. Choose a face already made or design 1 from scratch! Choose the clothes, pj's, swimsuits and other clothes your sim will wear from the start. Good at skinning? Have a go making your own skins, genetics and clothes that you can use in the game or share with other people at sims2.com! It's a whole new world and it's waiting for YOU to control it.
